Overview In this role you will design and deliver data visualizations and reports to empower business decisions using MicroStrategy. You'll work with stakeholders across functions to translate data needs into insightful dashboards, supporting the full BI lifecycle from requirements to deployment. The position emphasizes hands-on analytics, SQL data mining, and integrating MicroStrategy with Hadoop, with additional exposure to Tableau and ETL tools. This is a Global Delivery setting in the financial domain.
Responsibilities- Develop reports and dashboards in MicroStrategy (and related visualizations)
- Translate business data needs into clear visualizations for decision-making
- Understand MicroStrategy architecture and support end-to-end BI lifecycle
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data models, visual design, and deployment
- Write SQL to perform initial data mining and communicate results to ETL developers
- Possibly integrate MicroStrategy with Hadoop; leverage Tableau when applicable
- Apply data modelling and design standards for implementation
- Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Talend, Pentaho) is a plus
- Work in a global delivery environment with diverse stakeholders
- Experience in the financial domain
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent; or 4 years of progressive experience in IT
- At least 4 years of IT experience
- Proficiency in MicroStrategy and SQL; strong analytical skills
- Experience with data modelling and visualization design
- Experience with ETL tools (Talend, Pentaho) and familiarity with Hadoop integration is a plus
- Experience in a global delivery environment and cross-functional collaboration
- Knowledge of Tableau is a definite plus
