TAX PREPARER

Role Overview
As a Tax Preparer, you will work directly with clients to gather financial information, identify eligible credits and deductions, and prepare accurate federal and state tax returns. The ideal candidate is efficient, analytical, and highly focused on delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Client Intake: Conduct interviews with clients to gather relevant financial records, income statements, and documentation.
Tax Preparation: Prepare and compute federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, families, and/or small businesses .
Compliance & Accuracy: Audit tax forms for accuracy and ensure compliance with the latest IRS guidelines and state tax laws.
Strategy: Analyze financial situations to identify valid legal tax deductions, exemptions, and credits to maximize client returns.
Support: Answer client questions regarding their tax returns and proactively communicate filing statuses and deadlines.
Qualifications & Requirements
Credentials: Must have an active IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN). An active CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) license is a major plus.
Experience:NONE
Tech Savvy: Proficiency using professional tax software (such as insert software your firm uses, e.g., Drake, UltraTax, ProConnect, TurboTax ) and Microsoft Office.
Skills: Excellent mathematical skills, high attention to detail, and a friendly, professional communication style.
