Overview

As the Provider Network Strategy Lead for Missouri, you shape the network to meet market needs and drive cost-efficient care. You will own strategy, performance analysis, and complex negotiations with hospitals and physician groups, influencing market expansion and provider access. You'll lead contracting and network teams, ensuring alignment with Centene's mission to improve access and outcomes. This remote role combines strategic impact with cross-functional collaboration across Missouri, including travel for provider engagements.

Responsibilities
  • Own and execute provider network strategy across Missouri, assessing market needs and competitive dynamics
  • Analyze provider, network and financial KPIs to identify performance and cost opportunities
  • Lead complex negotiations with hospitals, health systems, and large physician groups
  • Support new business launches and market expansions by considering dynamics, budgets, and resources
  • Lead, coach, and develop contracting and network teams, including hiring and performance management
  • Oversee staff and external consultants supporting contracting and network development
  • Monitor network and team performance, identify process and quality gaps, implement improvements
  • Communicate market strategy and network performance to internal leaders and provider-facing stakeholders
Key requirements
  • Bachelor in Health Care Administration (or related field)
  • 7+ years of contracting, network development, or provider relations experience
  • Experience in Medicaid/Medicare contracting and negotiating hospital and large physician group agreements
  • Previous management experience including hiring, training, and performance management
  • Valid driver's license
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
