Overview

As part of Axon's contracts and corporate team, you will counsel global sales and partners, shaping and negotiating complex commercial agreements for SaaS, hardware, and services. You'll build scalable legal processes, templates, and playbooks, and supervise Contracts Managers to enable rapid growth. Your work spans risk analyses, regulatory considerations, and cross-functional collaboration to support a mission-driven, global business. This role offers impact shaping Axon's contracting processes and guiding high-stakes transactions.

Responsibilities
  • Structure, review, and negotiate contracts for goods, services, and SaaS solutions in support of global sales
  • Provide risk analyses and negotiation options to business partners
  • Supervise and review Contracts Managers' work
  • Set risk levels and maintain knowledge bank, playbooks, and templates
  • Lead and evolve contract lifecycle processes and CLM-related initiatives
  • Draft and update contract language, policies, and procedures
  • Support regulatory compliance and other legal requirements
  • Collaborate with attorneys, contracts managers, and admins to mentor and grow the team
  • Travel up to 15% as needed
Key requirements
  • 5+ years of experience negotiating and managing complex commercial contracts (in-house preferred)
  • Ability to structure, draft, and negotiate high-volume commercial contracts (SaaS, hardware, services)
  • Knowledge of procurement laws and processes in EMEA (UK and EU)
  • Location on the East Coast
  • Experience negotiating framework agreements
  • Ability to act with urgency and train/mentor others
  • Experience supporting large, dynamic organizations
  • J.D. and bar admission (US state or UK/EU)
  • Experience designing, implementing, and administering contract lifecycle processes
  • Familiarity with contract-related software/tools (preferably Generative AI, Salesforce, CLMs, Microsoft Office)
