Associate Director - Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor - Construction Management

Overview

In this role you will lead cost management services for key clients, coordinating across portfolios that include data centers, high-tech, manufacturing and other mission-critical spaces. You will drive financial performance, risk mitigation, and delivery governance while aligning with company standards. You will work with cross-functional teams and leadership to ensure high-quality service, business growth, and rigorous cost control. The position offers visibility, leadership responsibility, and the opportunity to shape delivery excellence in a global professional services environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead commissions and ensure service delivery aligns with appointment terms and standards
  • Manage project financials, track margins, forecast resources, and generate monthly reports
  • Develop and implement priority plans and risk mitigation using KPIs and appraisal frameworks
  • Establish and maintain management controls and performance measurement aligned to company goals
  • Implement and audit Business Management Systems (BMS) and support external certification audits
  • Build market knowledge, support pipeline development and business growth
  • Advise clients on contracting and procurement strategies across industries
  • Support program-level capital planning and reporting
  • Foster strong client and cross-functional relationships and provide leadership updates
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and assist in proposals and RFP responses
  • Capture lessons learned and drive knowledge management across projects
  • Participate in networking events and promote a collaborative, one-business culture
  • Adhere to SOX controls where applicable
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in cost management in construction
  • Experience in a construction consultancy environment preferred
  • SME in Quantity Surveying
  • RICS certification or equivalent preferred
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
