Overview In this role you will analyze regional inventory and gross margin data, ensuring accurate reporting and aiding internal controls. You will collaborate with branch and division teams to resolve inventory questions and support periodic counts and adjustments. You will manage journal entries, reconciliations, and special projects with limited travel, contributing to reliable financial reporting.

Responsibilities- Perform daily analysis of gross margin and inventory reports for one region
- Collaborate with Branch Managers and personnel to ensure accurate margins and inventory transactions
- Assist Regional Finance Managers and Analysts in researching questionable margins or inventory levels
- Complete monthly SOX reports to ensure proper internal controls over inventory transactions
- Perform validity checks on inventory adjustments submitted by branches
- Assist Division personnel with consignment inventory
- Participate in yearly physical inventory counts at each branch, reconciling counts and adjusting variances
- Manage accounting functions including journal entries, reconciliations, and transactional review
- Take on special projects and other duties as assigned by Inventory Supervisors and Sr. Manager, Operations Accounting
- Travel 5% for regional/divisional meetings and branch visits
Key requirements- BS/BA Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Related Field
- 0-3 years of practical experience
- Working knowledge with ERP systems; knowledge of PeopleSoft and/or SAP is an asset
- Strong MS Excel skills and analytical capability
- Ability to prioritize and meet competing deadlines
