Overview

In this role, you will lead actuarial analytics and forecasting to inform strategic and operational decisions. You'll develop metrics, provide insights, and ensure data integrity across enterprise data flows. You'll collaborate with stakeholders and senior leaders to translate complex findings into actionable guidance, shaping segments and enterprise-wide strategies. You will work on Medicare analytics and cross-functional forecasting initiatives that improve decision-making and outcomes. This is a high-impact, senior-level position in a data-driven, healthcare-focused environment.

Responsibilities
  • Forecast financial, economic, and operational data to support strategic decisions
  • Develop timely reporting and insights for leadership and partners
  • Establish performance metrics for business intelligence and decision-making
  • Evaluate market and industry trends to assess Humana's positioning
  • Provide strategic actuarial and analytic guidance to teams and leadership
  • Support Medicare Individual analytic work across the team
  • Bridge analytics across teams to improve consistency and insight generation
  • Ensure data integrity by designing and maintaining data flow controls
  • Investigate and troubleshoot data/analytic issues and perform root cause analysis
  • Translate findings into actionable recommendations for business leaders
  • Advise on significant actuarial and analytic matters across functions
  • Apply advanced technical expertise to complex forecasting and analytic initiatives
  • Support cross-functional decision-making through high-level modeling and interpretation
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree; 7+ years of technical experience; 2-5 years of project leadership
  • FSA or ASA and other relevant professional designations (MAAA preferred)
  • Experience in more than two functions (e.g., modeling, pricing, reporting & analysis)
  • Strong technical and non-technical communication skills
  • Passion for improving consumer experiences
