Overview In Oklahoma City, you will lead a team delivering plant and operations accounting to drive accurate financial reporting and informed decision-making. You'll oversee contract settlements, revenue-related analyses, and control activities that support SOX compliance. This role partners with operations and finance to improve processes, leverage technology, and strengthen the integrity of financial records. You will influence cross-functional outcomes and contribute to a high-performing accounting function.
Responsibilities- Analyze midstream contracts and commercial agreements to ensure correct settlements with producers and shippers
- Review customer settlement calculations and adjustments, supporting disputes and revenue issues
- Maintain and strengthen SOX controls over revenue processes with standardized procedures
- Lead monthly close for plant and operational accounting activities and ensure timely reporting
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
- Oversee general ledger activity, investigate variances and unusual transactions
- Analyze operational and financial data to provide insights for leadership and decision making
- Collaborate with operations, finance, and cross-functional teams on accounting treatment
- Support internal and external audits including documentation and inquiries
- Monitor internal controls and regulatory compliance
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff; foster a collaborative, high-performing team
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and use of technology
- Prepare and present financial analyses and summaries to management
