Overview As Federal Report Architect, you lead the design and implementation of enterprise reporting for federal agencies, aligning data architecture with regulatory requirements. You will shape scalable BI and reporting engines, ensuring secure, accurate pipelines across multi-agency data. You collaborate with security and stakeholder teams to translate regulations into technical solutions, delivering high-level dashboards for leadership. Responsibilities- Architect and implement data warehouse, BI systems, and federal reporting engines.
- Ensure data models, schemas, and outputs comply with federal mandates and regulatory standards.
- Design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and dimensional models for multi-agency data.
- Collaborate with ISSOs and security teams to maintain FedRAMP and NIST SP 800-53 controls.
- Translate regulatory requirements into technical specs and present dashboards to executives.
Key requirements- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years in enterprise BI/data architecture
- At least 3+ years supporting federal or DoD contracts
- Proficiency with BI tools: Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or Cognos
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Oracle, or SQL Server
- Experience with ETL frameworks: Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory, or Apache NiFi
- In-depth knowledge of federal reporting standards (DATA Act, SAM.gov, USA Spending, DoD reporting)
- Ability to obtain or maintain a federal Public Trust or Secret clearance
- Strong communication and ability to translate complex requirements for technical teams
