Overview In this role you will lead electrical estimating for complex construction projects across pharmaceutical, hospital, and data center sectors. You will work closely with project teams to develop accurate cost models, assess risks, and drive value engineering to optimize budgets. You'll apply your technical know-how to interpret blueprints, manage procurement, and ensure NEC compliance at every stage. Responsibilities- Prepare detailed electrical estimates for power, lighting, and medium voltage systems
- Perform materials takeoffs and cost analysis for budgeting and proposals
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to gather project information
- Analyze blueprints and specifications to define electrical scope and requirements
- Negotiate contracts and manage procurement processes to optimize costs
- Conduct risk assessments and implement value engineering to improve efficiency
- Utilize estimating software like ConEST and Accubid to generate estimates
- Ensure NEC compliance and industry standards throughout estimating process
- Participate in scheduling and team meetings to align timelines and resources
Key requirements- Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred)
- 10+ years of electrical estimating experience in electrical construction projects
- Proficiency with ConEST and Accubid estimating software
- Strong knowledge of power, lighting, and medium voltage systems
- Experience in pharmaceutical, hospital, and data center projects preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with focus on cost analysis and budgeting
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience with risk assessment, value engineering, and contract negotiation
