Overview In this role you will design, develop and maintain PLC logic and HMI interfaces for industrial automation, primarily on Allen-Bradley platforms. You will commission, troubleshoot, and continuously improve control systems in manufacturing environments, collaborating with engineers and technicians to ensure safe, reliable operations. You'll document code, I/O, wiring and functional descriptions while supporting integration with SCADA/MES and industrial networks. This position offers hands-on problem solving, field startup, and opportunities to shape high-availability control solutions.

Responsibilities- Design, develop and maintain PLC logic for Allen-Bradley controllers
- Create and optimize HMI screens for operator interfaces and diagnostics
- Document control sequences, interlocks, and safety logic
- Commission and start up equipment at customer sites; onsite troubleshooting and tuning
- Maintain version-controlled documentation including ladder/structured text, I/O lists and wiring diagrams
- Collaborate with electrical, controls engineers, technicians and production personnel
- Test, simulate and validate control logic; apply PID tuning and motion control where needed
- Support network communications and integration using Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus and coordinate with SCADA/MES systems
- Investigate faults, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Participate in continuous improvement, code reviews and standards development to enhance maintainability and safety
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or equivalent experience or education
- Proven experience programming PLCs on Allen-Bradley platforms (RSLogix/Studio 5000)
- Hands-on experience designing and configuring HMIs
- Strong knowledge of ladder logic, structured text, PID control and motion control
- Experience with commissioning, troubleshooting and on-site startup of industrial automation systems
- Familiarity with Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus
- Excellent documentation skills and experience with version control
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Willingness to travel to customer sites for commissioning and support
- Nice-to-have: Siemens platforms, Studio 5000, SCADA systems (FactoryTalk, Ignition, Wonderware), safety logic design
