Overview

In this editorial leadership role, you will shape content strategy and storytelling for financial advisors, aligning with Vanguard's business priorities. You will work with cross-functional partners to translate research and expert insights into audience-focused content that informs practice and influencer thought leadership. You will drive editorial frameworks, formats, and governance to deliver high-quality, advisor-facing content at scale. This is a mission-driven opportunity to influence how proprietary research and market developments inform professional audiences, across multiple channels.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute editorial strategy aligned with business priorities to engage financial advisors
  • Shape narratives, content frameworks, and thought leadership across priority topics
  • Translate research and subject-matter expertise into audience-centered editorial concepts; advise on formats and distribution
  • Interview internal and external experts; synthesize insights from research, industry reports, surveys, and market developments
  • Write and edit advisor-facing content (articles, thought leadership, presentations, scripts, reports) and ensure Vanguard voice and standards
  • Partner with research teams to identify opportunities for proprietary studies and editorial implications of findings
  • Build and maintain relationships with researchers, product teams, marketing, and senior leaders; manage review processes and deadlines
  • Serve as trusted advisor on content quality, storytelling, and audience relevance
Key requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in editorial strategy, financial journalism, content development, thought leadership, or related fields
  • Experience in wealth management, asset management, or investment research
  • Exceptional writing, editing, interviewing, and storytelling skills
  • Proven ability to translate complex subject matter into compelling content for professional audiences
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and subject-matter experts
  • Strong editorial judgment and ability to identify meaningful stories and opportunities
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
