Overview In this role you will lead US indirect tax compliance and process management to support Lightsource bp's growth in the renewables sector. You'll partner with the UK Indirect Tax Manager to build a global workstream and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The role involves managing registrations, monitoring tax law changes, and driving efficiency through standardized processes. You'll also oversee ERP-related tax work, audits, and strategic tax projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities- Manage US indirect tax compliance (sales/use tax, gross receipts tax, business licenses)
- Oversee registrations, renewals, exemption certificates and compliance calendars
- Monitor indirect tax law changes and regulatory developments
- Improve tax processes for efficiency and standardization
- Support ERP upgrades with SAP and Technology & Operations teams
- Lead indirect tax audits, notices, and controversy matters
- Review EPC and MSA contracts for indirect tax implications
- Administer OneSource Tax Engine (content updates, configurations, testing, support)
- Support M&A due diligence and ad hoc tax projects
Key requirements- 4-6 years of indirect tax experience
- Strong experience in indirect tax compliance and process management
- Knowledge of ERP systems and tax engines (SAP and OneSource Tax Engine preferred)
- Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills
- Collaborative, detail-oriented, adaptable to changing environment
