Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team and support professional growth
- Oversee design, development, and implementation of enterprise applications, UIs, APIs, and integrations to reduce manual effort
- Contribute technically as a player-coach in code, solution design, and code reviews while guiding project delivery
- Maintain a clear technology vision with current and target-state architectures and debt-reduction roadmaps
- Promote modern delivery practices (CI/CD, automated testing, progressive deployment, DevSecOps) as baseline standards
- Foster psychological safety, ownership, and accountability; mitigate single points of failure through cross-training
- Ensure safety, soundness, and regulatory compliance of products with security policies and banking regulations
- Create and manage department budgets and ensure adherence to financial processes
- Handle hiring, performance management, and address performance gaps proactively
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements- 6+ years engineering leadership experience with a track record of technical supervision
- Experience building and contributing to backend architectures (Java, Python, or Node.js)
- Experience building modern frontend interfaces with React
- Experience designing, developing, and securing RESTful and SOAP services and system integrations
- Experience deploying systems to cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS) with Kubernetes, containers, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
- Advanced DevOps knowledge with automated security scanning, vulnerability checks, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience leading teams using agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex)
