Overview In this role, you will support compensation analysis, market pricing, and merit program administration within a Newark-based higher education organization. You'll partner with HR and department leaders to ensure fair, accurate, and competitive pay practices. You will tackle market research, job leveling, and data-driven decision-making to align compensation with organizational goals. This position offers the chance to impact pay policy and reporting for diverse employee populations.
Responsibilities- Perform compensation studies by analyzing external market data and internal pay relationships
- Review job details to ensure accurate salary placement and consistent job leveling
- Support salary survey participation and compensation research to maintain competitive programs
- Assist with annual merit review activities for union and non-union groups, including data checks
- Provide compensation administration support including salary recommendations and equity analysis
- Partner with HR and department leaders to advise on pay-related decisions
- Conduct job assessments and classification reviews for consistency and alignment
- Prepare and review compensation and demographic reports ensuring data integrity
- Support Workday compensation transactions, reporting needs, and related projects
