Overview In this role, you lead the strategy and lifecycle of Stryker's SAP technical platform, guiding standards, upgrades, and governance to enable enterprise capabilities and digital transformation. You'll collaborate across IT and business teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable SAP services aligned with priorities. The role blends architecture, vendor management, and continuous improvement to drive platform effectiveness and operational efficiency. A hybrid work model supports collaboration with cross-functional partners and leadership across the organization.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain the SAP technical platform roadmap, standards, and upgrade strategies
- Oversee SAP initiatives, integrations, migrations, patching, and decommissioning
- Coordinate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, EA, and business teams to meet security and compliance needs
- Evaluate and adopt emerging SAP technologies for modernization and automation
- Lead vendor and MSP engagement, including scope, delivery, and performance management
- Provide cost estimates, sizing, and input for business cases and investment decisions
- Drive governance, standardization, and continuous improvement across platform engineering and release planning
- Communicate strategy, risks, decisions, and recommendations to IT leadership and stakeholders
- Coach and develop team members and partner resources to foster accountability and collaboration
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree required
- 8+ years IT experience
- 7+ years SAP technical platform, SAP Basis, or SAP infrastructure experience
- Experience supporting at least two SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC implementations, migrations, upgrades, or major technical releases
- 3+ years managing SAP environments with more than 1,000 users
- Travel 20%
- Knowledge of data center operations, cloud infra, network concepts, and enterprise monitoring
