Overview In this role you help government clients manage FEMA-funded programs and achieve program integrity. You will work within the Government Sector Services Team to ensure compliance, accurate financial management, and timely deliverables across FEMA PA/IA, 2 CFR 200, and related policies. You'll support regulatory readiness, closeout of disaster programs, and pursuit of funding opportunities, while collaborating with cross-functional partners. This is a hands-on advisory role that combines governance, financial stewardship, and business development in a mission-critical space.

Responsibilities- Support compliance with FEMA regulations and 2 CFR 200, assess audit readiness and gaps
- Assist in expediting closeout processes for multiple open disaster programs
- Manage client financial operations including time/cost tracking and reconciliation
- Contribute to method selection for program implementation and delivery
- Ensure timely, accurate client deliverables
- Engage in business development through conferences, RFP responses, and proposal submissions
- Occasionally travel or work from different offices or client locations
Key requirements- 3+ years of experience in state/local disaster recovery programs administering FEMA funds
- Knowledge of FEMA disaster programs, related statutes and policies, and compliance/financial management functions
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
- Strong communication and analytical abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, Copilot and ChatGPT
