Overview In this role you will provide comprehensive legal and fiduciary support for ABB's US operations, focusing on corporate governance, compliance, and contract risk management. You will advise senior management, support the Country Holding Officer, and drive governance, regulatory filings, and licensing while enabling business growth and faster decision-making. The position requires coordinating with global Legal & Integrity centers and supervising paralegal staff. You will work hybrid, collaborating across functions to ensure legal integrity and regulatory adherence. This is a strategic, high-impact role at a multinational manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities- Oversee fiduciary duties, corporate governance, and compliance for US entities, including corporate secretarial services and regulatory filings.
- Provide strategic legal advice to the US Country Holding Officer and senior management on governance, risk, M&A, and license-to-operate matters.
- Lead integrity investigations, government contracting compliance, data privacy and cybersecurity, and regulatory certifications; align with internal audit, HSE, and risk management.
- Offer cross-functional legal support on contracts and commercial agreements; harmonize processes and supervise paralegal staff; collaborate with global centers of excellence on topics like IP, antitrust, and litigation.
Key requirements- Juris Doctorate from an accredited US law school with active bar admission
- Minimum 12 years of experience in corporate/commercial law, preferably in multinational manufacturing or top-tier law firms
- Proven ability to manage fiduciary responsibilities and corporate governance in a decentralized organization
- Strong contract review, drafting, negotiation, and M&A experience; corporate secretarial functions including filings
- Deep knowledge of data privacy, US government contracting, contractor licensing, and related regulations
- Familiarity with finance, treasury, risk management/insurance; experience in antitrust, IP, and IS/IT-related matters
