Overview In this Controller role, you will oversee financial operations and lead a high-performing accounting team in Hampton, NH, reporting to the VP of Finance. You will ensure accurate records, meaningful financial reporting, and support for sound business decisions. You'll drive budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls while improving efficiency across accounting processes. This position offers meaningful impact by shaping financial oversight and partnering with senior leadership.
Responsibilities- Lead month-end and year-end close activities across the general ledger, reconciliations, and intercompany accounting for multiple entities
- Prepare and review financial reports highlighting operating results, cash positions, costs, and profit/loss trends for leadership
- Ensure integrity of accounting records through transaction monitoring and accurate documentation
- Coordinate budgeting and forecasting by consolidating inputs, updating planning data, and explaining variances
- Partner with senior leadership to evaluate performance and strengthen internal controls
- Provide analysis of historical and current financial information to support planning and decision-making
- Supervise and develop a team of four accounting professionals, setting priorities and fostering growth
- Recommend process improvements to enhance reporting quality and efficiency
