Overview As a Business Litigation Associate, you will work on complex civil and commercial disputes at a respected boutique firm in downtown Minneapolis. You will collaborate with experienced litigators to handle matters from early-stage investigation through resolution and trial. Your work includes research, drafting pleadings, managing discovery, and trial preparation. Responsibilities- Conduct detailed legal research and apply law to complex issues
- Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, and discovery-related documents
- Manage written discovery and develop discovery strategies
- Assist with depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
- Take and defend depositions appropriate to experience
- Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trial
- Participate in court appearances, hearings, mediations, and other proceedings
- Collaborate with partners and attorneys to evaluate cases and develop litigation strategy
Key requirements- 2-6 years of complex civil and/or commercial litigation experience
