Central Texas Recruiting is seeking a Managing Attorney to launch and lead a new Minneapolis office for an established plaintiff personal injury firm. This role offers ground-floor leadership responsibility with the autonomy to manage Minnesota operations while receiving support from the firm's existing HR, intake, marketing, and operations infrastructure.
The Managing Attorney will oversee plaintiff personal injury matters, build and manage a legal team, develop Minnesota business relationships, and own the client experience while helping establish and grow the firm's presence in a new market.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all Minnesota office operations
Manage plaintiff personal injury cases and case strategy from intake through resolution
Oversee client outcomes and deliver a high-touch client experience
Hire, mentor, and manage attorneys, case managers, and paralegals
Build and develop a high-performing Minnesota legal team
Lead business development efforts throughout Minnesota
Work directly with firm co-founders on market development and office growth
Manage settlement strategy and case resolution
Develop relationships with referral sources and community contacts
Establish office policies, procedures, and workflows
Collaborate with HR, intake, marketing, and operations teams
Operate effectively in a fully paperless and technology-driven environment
Help establish and grow the Minneapolis office as the firm expands nationally
Qualifications & Requirements:
U.S. Work Eligibility Required
Education & Experience:
JD from an accredited law school
Active Minnesota State Bar membership in good standing
2 8 years of practicing attorney experience
Minimum 2 years of plaintiff personal injury experience
Experience handling plaintiff PI cases end-to-end
Track record of settlement results
Civil litigation, public defense, or malpractice experience may be considered
Ability to answer substantive personal injury legal questions independently
Must be based in Minneapolis and able to work on-site once the office opens
Technical Skills & Competencies:
Comfortable working in a fully paperless, digital environment
Tech-savvy and comfortable with Apple/Mac products
Experience with digital case management systems and AI tools
Strong organizational and case-management skills
Strong client communication and customer service skills
Ability to manage attorneys, case managers, and paralegals
