Overview

In this role you will lead end-to-end sourcing for engineered gas skid and station solutions, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective delivery. You will manage supplier qualification, bids, contracting, and lifecycle performance for complex engineered-to-order packages. You will influence suppliers and internal stakeholders to mitigate risk and optimize total cost while sustaining project schedules. This position places you at the intersection of engineering, operations, and procurement in a mission-critical data center gas power infrastructure context.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute project and category sourcing strategies for gas skids, metering and regulation stations, packaged systems, and related third-party equipment
  • Lead full sourcing lifecycle: market analysis, supplier identification, RFI/RFQ, bid evaluation, negotiation, contracting, PO placement, supplier closeout
  • Collaborate with Center of Excellence to leverage enterprise agreements, preferred suppliers, and category strategies
  • Establish strategic relationships with skid fabricators, equipment manufacturers, integrators, and service providers
  • Align demand, release dates, capacity, lead times, and logistics with delivery milestones
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, warranties, LD provisions, lead times, change orders, IP protections, and other commercial terms
  • Assess supplier financial health, capacity, technical capability, quality systems, and continuity risks; develop mitigation/dual-source plans
  • Define supplier performance expectations and manage scorecards for quality, on-time delivery, cost, responsiveness, and safety
  • Support technical bid evaluations ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, deviations, and testing obligations
  • Coordinate supplier execution through design reviews, fabrication, testing, shipment, installation support, and commissioning
  • Lead supplier issue resolution, recovery planning, and claims management to protect schedule, quality, and margin
  • Drive value engineering, standardization, modularization, should-cost analysis, and productivity initiatives
  • Maintain sourcing plans, forecasts, risk registers, supplier records, and executive project updates
  • Ensure compliance with policies, trade controls, export/import regulations, and standards
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • 6+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier management, or project supply chain for engineered equipment or capital projects
  • Experience managing full sourcing and contracting lifecycle for complex engineered-to-order equipment and third-party buyouts
  • Knowledge of supplier qualification, bidding, contract negotiation, cost analysis, performance management, and risk mitigation
  • Ability to interpret technical specs, BOMs, data sheets, drawings, proposals, and project schedules
  • Strong commercial judgment, analytical ability, negotiation skills, and financial acumen
  • Proven ability to influence suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders in a matrixed environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including executive reporting and supplier-facing communications
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and travel to supplier/fabrication/customer/project locations as required
