Overview In this role you will lead tax engagements for individuals and businesses from Greenville, driving planning and compliance. You will mentor a small team, manage client relationships, and partner with firm leadership to grow the Greenville office. You'll tackle complex returns and provide proactive guidance to clients throughout the year. This is a long term leadership opportunity with a growing public accounting firm aligned to client service excellence and technical depth.
Responsibilities- Review and prepare individual, S-Corporation, partnership, and other business tax returns
- Review financial statements and supporting documentation for tax engagements
- Manage client relationships as the primary contact for tax planning and compliance
- Review staff work and provide technical guidance and mentorship
- Oversee and develop a team of approximately 4-5 professionals in the Greenville office
- Assist with workflow management, deadlines, and quality control
- Collaborate with firm leadership on client service and growth of the Greenville office
- Participate in tax planning and provide proactive guidance to clients throughout the year
Key requirements- CPA license required
- Strong public accounting tax experience
- Experience preparing and reviewing individual and business returns (1040s, S-Corporations, partnerships)
- Experience reviewing the work of other tax professionals
- Strong client-facing and relationship management skills
- Experience with QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop preferred
- Prior management or supervisory experience strongly preferred
