Overview As an Environmental Chemist/Hydrologist on the Reachback team, you apply SME expertise to develop and validate CBRNE models and scenarios for DTRA. You work within a multidisciplinary group to perform advanced analyses, produce technical assessments, and support 24/7 decision-making in defense contexts. You will be cross-trained across CBRNE models and contribute to experiments, predictions, and software testing. This role offers meaningful impact by enabling rapid, science-led decisions in challenging environments.

Responsibilities- Perform complex engineering and scientific modeling and analyses
- Develop, integrate, test, verify, and validate CBRNE software/scenarios
- Produce scientific reports and technical assessments for military decision makers
- Provide SME advice and decision support to DTRA
- Cross-train on all models and participate in rigorous certification for CBRNE models
- Support 24/7/365 Technical Reachback operations
Key requirements- MS in Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Hydrology or related field (or near completion)
- US Citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain US DoD Top Secret clearance
- Willingness to work rotating shifts
- Strong oral and written communication, technical presentation, teamwork, visualization and MS Office skills
- Willingness to be cross-trained to provide modeling across the CBRNE spectrum
