Overview

In this role you will support data center construction and retrofit projects, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, secure, and cost-effective delivery. You'll help steer project scope, schedule, and budget while upholding security and safety standards. You'll work with internal stakeholders and vendors to drive timely, data-driven decisions and measurable project outcomes. This is an opportunity to shape critical infrastructure for Microsoft's cloud services and impact global operations.

Responsibilities
  • Change management: align new processes with stakeholders to improve cycle-time and cost efficiency
  • Coordination: facilitate meetings with owners, architects, contractors, and vendors with a security-first mindset
  • Drives results: support local project delivery and KPI-driven progress with minimal guidance
  • Financial acumen: identify cost-effective solutions and inform senior leaders for strategy
  • Goal alignment: maintain alignment with internal teams to uphold corporate vision
  • Managing resources: verify availability of people, materials, and equipment
  • Project management: support data center fit-out and infrastructure activities with independent judgment
  • Project tracking: provide data on cost, KPIs, invoices, and status to clients
  • Risk mitigation: develop risk activities and dashboards to drive progress
  • Safety and regulation: adhere to OSHA and regulatory requirements and participate in audits
  • Technical acumen: review technical info and advise on risk and security considerations
  • Vendor management: monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with policies
  • Vendor selection: assist with RFPs, PERs, and project approvals
Key requirements
  • Bachelor in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years related experience or equivalent
  • Ability to meet Microsoft security screening requirements
  • 5+ years data center project experience (preferred)
