Overview As Accounting Manager you will lead core accounting operations for a manufacturing business, ensuring accurate close processes and timely reporting. You will guide and develop the accounting team, strengthen controls, and drive reporting efficiency to support leadership decisions. The role blends technical accounting with people leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and process improvement at scale. You will work closely with management to provide meaningful analysis, dashboards, and actionable insights that enhance financial performance.
Responsibilities- Oversee month-end and year-end close to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting
- Review and approve journals, reconciliations, and other financial transactions for accuracy and policy compliance
- Mentor and coordinate the accounting/finance team to manage priorities and workflow
- Support internal and external audits by coordinating requests and documentation
- Prepare and distribute financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs for management
- Perform financial analysis and develop tools to support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making
- Identify process improvements to strengthen internal controls and improve reporting accuracy
- Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives
- Travel occasionally to support operations, training, meetings, or projects
