About the Role: Virtuous Health Centers is looking for a friendly and organized Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our team in Show Low, AZ. Responsibilities:- Greet and check in patients in a professional and courteous manner
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using medical scheduling software
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at time of service
- Maintain and update accurate patient records and demographic information in the EMR system
- Coordinate patient flow and communicate with clinical staff to minimize wait times
- Handle medical billing intake, referrals, and prior authorizations as needed
Requirements:- Prior experience in a medical front desk or healthcare administrative role preferred
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical scheduling software
- Knowledge of medical insurance verification and billing processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinical environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; medical administrative certification a plus
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team player
