Overview In this role you will help evolve the Forge engineering platform, enabling AI-assisted workflows and extensible applications for Hivemind. You will collaborate with subject-matter experts to deliver a cohesive, production-ready platform that supports autonomy software development and deployment. You will work across frontend, backend, and infrastructure to ensure consistent behavior across environments. This is an opportunity to shape developer tooling and workflows for mission-critical autonomy systems at Shield AI.

Responsibilities- Build and operate a full-stack platform embedded in training and deployment workflows for the AI Pilot
- Design a composable UI architecture for widgets, dashboards, and shared context
- Define typed, versioned contracts between the platform and Forge applications
- Create workflows to package, publish, configure, install, upgrade, and disable applications
- Enable Forge's native AI experiences and external agent harnesses to use platform tools
- Ensure consistent application behavior across local-development and remote-cluster environments
- Collaborate with simulation, autonomy, and ML experts to validate the platform against real workflows
- Shape the platform architecture with cross-team coordination across infrastructure, security, product, and design
- Advance integration, testing, and diagnosis capabilities for autonomy features
Key requirements- Ownership of production full-stack applications from design to rollout
- Strong TypeScript and React proficiency
- Experience building production backend services (Go, Python, Rust, or similar)
- Experience designing typed, versioned APIs and contracts between components
- Solid knowledge of web and distributed-system architecture (state, routing, security, auth, failure handling)
- Ability to build intuitive technical tools for engineers and test them at unit/integration/system levels
- Judgment on extending systems vs. introducing abstractions, aiming for practical simplicity
