Overview In this role you help leading organizations reduce cyber risk by designing and operating data protection and privacy solutions. You will act as a trusted advisor on data protection needs, work with cross functional teams, and guide engagements from design to delivery. You'll help shape solutions that enable secure growth and regulatory compliance while strengthening trust. This is a chance to contribute to Deloitte's Digital Trust & Privacy practice and drive impact across complex client environments.
Responsibilities- Serve as subject matter expert and trusted advisor on data protection needs
- Design, implement and operate data protection solutions for clients
- Lead client engagements; drive execution, communication, and timely delivery
- Mentor junior staff and support professional growth
- Coordinate proposal development and contribute to thought leadership
- Foster inclusive, collaborative, high-performing team environment
- Stay current on cyber risk, data protection, and emerging technologies
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including IT, legal/compliance, and executives
Key requirements- 4+ years in data protection and information security (incl. DCRM/DRM/IRM, DAG, DLP, CASB, DSPM, Cloud/SaaS security)
- 2+ years developing data protection strategies, roadmaps, and frameworks
- 2+ years hands-on technical or architecture experience with two or more data protection technologies
- Experience with Microsoft Purview, Cyera, Securiti.ai, Varonis and related data security capabilities
- Knowledge of AI security and governance concepts, including data protection for generative AI
- Experience defining data protection use cases and evaluating technology solutions
- Experience working with multifunctional teams and senior leadership communications
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, SC-100, SC-400 or AWS Security Specialty
- Travel ability 25-50%
