Responsibilities- Gather and review due diligence documents and provide feedback to origination officers
- Conduct credit and borrower analysis to draft credit papers
- Collaborate with government Investment Officers to prepare credit policy for submission to the credit committee
- Defend policy at the credit, investment, and board meetings when applicable
- Assist or lead in preparing financing approval papers with proper data formatting
- Travel to support transactions as needed
- Conduct country and sector-specific research
- Summarize economic and political environments in foreign countries of project locations
- Research and summarize relevant industrial sectors for proposed projects
- Conduct research and writing of Market Assessments
- Prepare Country Due Diligence briefing materials for overseas trips
- Prepare various deliverables: Credit Papers, Number Spreads, Financial Models, Market Analyses, Credit Risk Assessments
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 3-6 years of experience performing comparable duties
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
- Experience in credit risk assessment, review, analysis, and processing
- Experience structuring guarantees and transactions aligned with development priorities
- Experience evaluating financial markets and private business development in target regions
- Experience preparing and presenting screening memos, credit papers, and investment proposals to committees
- Proven ability to train Investment Officers on credit risk and methods
- Strong analytical and numerical abilities
