Overview

In this role you manage multi-client assurance engagements, from planning through delivery, ensuring quality and timely completion. You lead engagement planning, staffing, and budget oversight while guiding junior staff and maintaining client relationships. You continually expand technical expertise in accounting and auditing, and contribute to practice development and cross-team coordination. Responsibilities
  • Manage engagement workflow for audits, reviews, and compilations to meet objectives and deadlines.
  • Identify and resolve accounting/audit technical issues affecting engagements.
  • Lead planning, resource allocation, and risk assessment for engagements.
  • Review deliverables for compliance with firm and professional standards.
  • Delegate work to supervisors based on skills and development needs.
  • Participate in peer review and continue technical education.
  • Coordinate services with other departments as they relate to engagements.
  • Develop industry expertise and assist in fee quotes and budgets.
  • Prepare client billings and maintain client communications on status and issues.
  • Use assurance methodologies to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Develop client relationships as a trusted advisor throughout the year.
  • Support practice development activities and mentoring of less experienced staff.
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • CPA license
  • Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience
  • Assurance leadership, guidance, or supervisory experience required
  • Advanced understanding of GAAP and GAAS
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
