Overview

In this role you will oversee day-to-day quality operations and ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety standards, and customer requirements. You'll drive the quality program, supervise staff, and maintain SQF and other certifications to support a fast-paced beverage facility. You will partner with cross-functional teams to monitor KPIs, improve processes, and uphold a safe, compliant production environment. Responsibilities
  • Adhere to health and safety policies, GMPs, and PPE requirements
  • Lead and direct quality staff and potentially participate in hiring and disciplinary actions
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve SQF and related food safety/quality systems
  • Monitor compliance with SQF, AIB, GMPs, and customer requirements
  • Track KPIs and manage daily deliverables to budgetary goals
  • Utilize SAP Quality Module to post processes, access reports, manage PMs, and perform mock recalls
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and order lab/sanitation supplies
  • Approve/release/reject raw materials, finished goods, and in-process materials
  • Perform root cause analysis and support in-process batch adjustments
  • Audit and maintain records for compliance; communicate quality objectives across departments
  • Ensure safe working environment and support energy and waste minimization initiatives
  • Provide backup coverage for Quality Manager
Key requirements
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and SAP
  • Experience with measurement tools (HPLC, densitometer, pH meters)
  • Organized, detail-oriented, adaptable to change
  • Ability to apply statistical methods and trend data
  • High precision in inspection and testing
  • Knowledge of GMP, GFSI, FDA and related standards (preferred)
  • Laboratory inspection experience
  • Strong written/verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational skills
  • BS in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology or related discipline preferred (or equivalent)
  • Three+ years supervisory experience in quality in high-speed beverage manufacturing (preferred)
  • Familiarity with quality systems (GMP, HACCP, SQF) certification preferred
