Overview In this role you will support day-to-day accounting operations for manufacturing costing, E&O reserves, gross margin analysis, and duties/freight accruals. You will also assist with user acceptance testing for an ERP upgrade as part of a broader finance initiative. Reporting to the Associate Director of Accounting, you help ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across the accounting function while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This is a chance to contribute to critical cost and margin processes in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Month-end analyses, reconciliations, journal entries, and quarterly reviews
- Cost accounting activities including manufacturing variance capitalization, E&O reserves, gross margin analysis, and accruals for duties and freight
- Participation in user acceptance testing for ERP upgrade in designated areas
Key requirements- Typically requires 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree (or 6 years with a Master's, or PhD with 3 years) or equivalent
- Experience with SAP (or equivalent ERP) is a plus
- CPA certificate and related experience a plus but not required
- Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Process improvement mindset and commitment to accuracy under tight deadlines
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and adapt to a dynamic environment
- Self-directed with effective communication in a team setting
- Knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
