Overview In this role you will oversee the Radiogenic Isotope Geosciences Laboratory, ensuring safe, efficient operation and ongoing development of analytical capabilities. You will enable faculty, students, postdocs, and external users through training and expert technical support in radiogenic isotope geochemistry. You will drive method development, instrument maintenance, and data quality assurance to support high-impact geoscience research. The position blends lab leadership with hands-on analytical work in a premier, grant-funded facility.

Responsibilities- Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment
- Train and support lab users including students and postdocs
- Provide technical support for research activities involving equipment and sample analysis
- Assist in developing new laboratory methods and procedures
- Perform sample analyses for external users with data quality assurance and reporting
- Oversee day-to-day facility operations, invoicing, and procurement of supplies
- Contribute to facility design, renovation, website maintenance, strategic planning, and growth initiatives
Key requirements- PhD degree in geology, oceanography, chemistry, or a closely related discipline
- Three years of related research experience
- Ability to move light office materials up to 50 lbs
