Overview In this role you ensure the campus operates safely and efficiently by maintaining and repairing building systems and equipment. You will work within the facilities team to handle routine maintenance and more complex electrical or plumbing tasks where licensed. The position supports patient care by keeping the environment secure and welcoming. You will collaborate across shifts to sustain reliable operations in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities- Operate, maintain and repair physical plant systems, buildings and equipment
- Perform general maintenance throughout the facility
- Conduct advanced electrical and/or plumbing work as permitted by your license
- Handle facilities maintenance, operations, and technical tasks
- Note: professional engineering design/approval is performed by licensed engineers when required
Key requirements- Education: High school graduate or equivalent (additional education as license requires)
- Experience: Minimum four years journeyman-level experience with comparable equipment/systems or completion of an apprenticeship
- Hospital engineering experience preferred
- Licensure: state driver's license with appropriate driving record
- Licensure: list of licenses including LME, PJ, EL01, Oregon/Washington plumbers, or EL06A HVAC/Refrigeration
- Experience with licensed maintenance roles in healthcare environment unknown
