Overview In this Senior Manager role, you guide a portfolio of large clients within KPMG's Business Tax Services. You lead client relationships at a senior level, oversee service delivery, and mentor tax professionals. You assess tax implications, develop arguments, and offer recommendations to clients. Responsibilities- Build and manage client relationships for large clients; serve as main point of contact
- Lead teams of tax professionals on client projects and ensure high-quality service delivery
- Manage engagement risk and financial performance, including billing and budgeting
- Assess tax impact for clients, develop arguments, and propose recommendations
- Contribute to external market activities and provide leadership to the team
- Coach and mentor tax professionals across engagements
Key requirements- Minimum eight years of recent tax experience in a public accounting firm, corporation, or asset management firm with alternative investments
- Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA, EA or JD/LLM (or other approved designation) within one year of hire
- Experience with alternative investments (investment partnership and/or mutual fund tax)
- Proficiency in taxation of corporations, consolidated entities, partnerships, and other flow-through entities including 1120 RIC and 1065 with Schedule K-1
- Strong verbal and written communication; able to articulate complex financial information
