Overview In this role you will lead trade compliance support for US government programs across intel, space, cyber, defense, and civilian markets. You will work largely remotely with occasional on-site requirements and help ensure activities meet ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and FTR requirements. You will manage licensing, exemptions, and empowered official responsibilities to enable compliant international operations. You will partner with cross-functional teams to review programs and maintain accurate export/import records, shaping the company's compliance posture.

Responsibilities- Research, analyze, and advise on ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and FTR compliance across functional units
- Prepare, submit, and administer export license applications, Technical Assistance Agreements, and Commerce licenses; validate ITAR exemptions and EAR exceptions
- Eligible to serve as Empowered Official as defined by ITAR
- Review and approve international shipments, foreign travel, and visitors; guide activities to stay within licenses and regulations
- Review proposals, contracts, and purchase orders; participate in technical programmatic discussions for business area programs and technologies
- Maintain export and import records per U.S. regulatory requirements and company policy
- Perform other trade compliance-related duties as assigned
Key requirements- At least 10 years of trade compliance experience with a government contractor
- Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience entering and managing export authorizations in Oracle GTM, DECCS, SNAP-R and CBP AES
- US Citizenship
- Must reside near listed locations (DC/MD/Northern Virginia/Maryland row; Annapolis Junction, MD; Melbourne, FL; Huntsville, AL; Colorado Springs, CO; Aurora, CO)
