Overview In this role you will design and deliver distribution projects from 2.4kV to 34.5kV, supporting overhead and underground builds. You will work with project teams to meet design, budget, and client needs while applying NESC and utility standards. You will develop technical packages, perform critical distribution calculations, and communicate project status to stakeholders. This position offers impact across design, field work, and client-visible deliverables in a collaborative utility environment.
Responsibilities- Develop distribution-voltage packages for overhead and underground projects
- Create design sketches, cost estimates, and bill of materials
- Perform distribution calculations (cable pulling, voltage drop, pole loading)
- Apply NESC and utility standards, guides, specifications, and procedures
- Research and compile project data for managers
- Conduct field inspections of overhead and underground facilities
- Prepare communications on vegetation management, ROW, and outage planning
- Develop client presentations, reports, and visualizations
- Perform other duties as assigned

Key requirements- ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related degree with 3 years of experience; consulting preferred
- ABET-accredited Engineering Technology degree with FE exam completed and 3 years of experience; consulting preferred
- Master's degree in Engineering with 2 years of experience; consulting preferred
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution power flow
- Proficiency with distribution design software and GIS
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Easements, right-of-way, and permitting knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication
