Overview In this role you will guide practice-specific innovation initiatives to maximize the value of Cooley's legal technology and processes. You'll collaborate with practice leadership, knowledge management, and education teams to establish best practices and scalable solutions that differentiate the firm. You will design playbooks, drive pilots and change-management campaigns, and help scale resources across practice groups. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role with a clear impact on how the firm delivers legal services.

Responsibilities- Support attorney-level input on targeted legal technology adoption initiatives affecting practice groups
- Design and prep playbooks to implement best practices for innovation technologies
- Organize presentations, status reports, and executive briefings
- Collaborate with innovation, operations, technology, and practice leaders to prioritize initiatives and evangelize the process
- Work with innovation teams to define objectives, metrics, and timelines for adoption initiatives
- Analyze practice group workflows with management, pricing, and project management teams to improve efficiency via technology
- Lead and participate in pilots, deployments, proofs of concept, and continuous improvement efforts
- Support change management with campaigns and measurement of outcomes
- Develop and maintain practice group-specific resources and work with other departments to automate or scale efforts
- Additional responsibilities based on evolving needs of the firm
Key requirements- 4+ years direct applicable experience (legal practice experience or hands-on legal technology adoption)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, iManage and other firm applications
- Ability to work extended/weekend hours and travel as required
- Active bar membership or in-house counsel status in jurisdictions where you work
- Juris Doctor(ate) or non-US equivalent
- Experience in leading cross-functional projects involving legal technology, knowledge management, technology, and practice group leadership
- Understanding of large law firm financial and work allocation processes
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Strong presentation skills for varied audiences
- Ability to translate technical concepts for legal professionals and executives
