Overview In this role you will help design and develop new battery and charger products, contributing to Milwaukee Tool's portfolio for professional users. You will work within a cross-functional team to turn concepts into production-ready designs, addressing performance, cost, and reliability. You'll engage in field research, supplier collaboration, and testing to validate solutions at scale. Responsibilities- Concept-to-production design and testing of products
- Develop design solutions meeting consumer requirements
- Participate in field research and cross-functional project flow
- Collaborate with suppliers to define part specifications within process capabilities
- Evaluate designs for material selection, cost, and reliability
- Perform mechanical analyses (stress, dynamics, thermal, vibration) and tolerance studies
- Create and analyze test requests with the Milwaukee Tool Test Laboratory
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and supplier issues as a technical resource
Key requirements- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- 2+ years in related design field
- GD&T and CAD proficiency
- Excellent problem-solving and hands-on attitude
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Willingness to learn beyond primary discipline
- Ability to travel 10% (domestic and international)
- High interest in tools of the trade
