Overview In this role you drive tax engagements for high-profile clients within KPMG's Business Tax Services. You'll support Tax Managers and Partners, manage engagement planning and execution, and supervise staff on complex engagements. You will audit tax provisions and ensure compliance with firm policies, while leveraging KPMG's Ignition Centers to deliver innovative tax solutions. Responsibilities- Support Tax Managers and Partners in day-to-day client portfolio management
- Lead engagement planning and job administration
- Keep management informed on progress and issues
- Audit and review tax provisions and working papers to ensure conclusions are supported
- Execute compliance tasks with moderate direction
- Supervise associate staff on large, complex engagements
Key requirements- Minimum of three years' investment partnership and/or mutual fund tax experience in public accounting
- Bachelor's degree, J.D., LL.M. in taxation, and/or MST from an accredited institution
- Applied working knowledge of US GAAP, accounting procedures, and partnership tax regulations
- Strong ability to review 1065 and 1120-RIC tax returns
- Ability to meet challenging client requirements and deliver quality service
