Overview In this role you will manage core accounting tasks to support accurate financial reporting. You will allocate costs to business units, post journal entries, and upload data to the general ledger, ensuring timely and compliant records. You will analyze expenses and prepare reconciliations while supporting audits and internal analyses. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain controls and respond to inquiries, contributing to reliable financial operations and strategic insights.
Responsibilities- General accounting duties
- Allocate expenses to business units
- Mass data uploads to the general ledger
- Analyze expenses
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Compile/analyze schedules for internal purposes and audits
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and research variances
- Respond to internal and external inquiries
- Ensure business controls are followed
- Other finance/accounting tasks as needed
Key requirements- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Solid knowledge of accounting theories and practices
- Must stay current on accounting practices (6 CPE/year)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Team player; adaptable to change
- Multitasking under tight deadlines
- Detail-oriented and self-starter
- Minimum 5 years relevant accounting experience
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong to advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of Great Plains or SAP preferred
- CPA preferred
