Planner, Project Controls Specialist IV

In this role you lead Project Controls on a mining project at a remote Nevada site, supervising a small team or serving as SME for the regional Project Controls group. You will develop WBS and integrated EPC schedules and cost control programs, and provide recovery options for schedule or cost impacts. You analyze variances, maintain cost systems, and communicate findings and mitigations to management and clients. This position offers hands-on leadership in a remote setting with a focus on delivering schedule integrity and cost control for complex projects.

• Develop Work Breakdown Structures and project coding for contract-defined work
• Create integrated EPC schedules and cost control programs
• Recommend recovery plans for schedule or cost impacts
• Lead scheduling activities, analyze delays, propose recovery options, present to teams and clients
• Lead cost management, maintain cost system and reporting
• Analyze variances in cost and schedule, communicate causes and mitigation plans to Project Management
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Accredited four-year degree and ten years of related experience or fourteen years non-degreed experience
• Effective communication with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job-related technical knowledge to complete the role
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Attention to detail and time-conscious work style
• Prior remote project site experience
