Overview

As an engineering consultant, you help top organizations accelerate value through product development and engineering transformation. You will apply analytics, operating-model design, and value-focused methodologies to optimize R&D, product cost, and lifecycle processes. You'll work across industries to enable digital threads, automation, and AI-enabled solutions, shaping how clients innovate and scale. This role combines hands-on problem solving with client-facing strategy, delivering measurable outcomes at speed.

Responsibilities
  • Lead engineering transformation initiatives to optimize organization structure, product development, and lifecycle management
  • Drive value-based cost management through value analysis, value engineering, and should-cost assessments
  • Shape product strategies including Product as a Service, platform ecosystems, and sustainable products
  • Manage innovation and product portfolio optimization balancing customer voice and cost to serve
  • Digitize engineering functions using Digital Thread/Twin, RPA, ML/AI, Blockchain, and related technologies
  • Scope and solve engineering problems using advanced analytics for ROI, product cost, and business models
  • Lead small to mid-size teams (2-5) and coach diverse collaborators
  • Support client sales origination and contribute to thought leadership
  • Challenge legacy processes with constructive approaches to foster client growth
Key requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering improvement initiatives
  • 1 year of experience in internal or external consulting at a comparable level
  • 1 year of experience with new technologies (Digital Thread/Twin, RPA, ML/AI, Blockchain)
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience (12 years); associate degree requires 6+ years
  • Comfort with travel up to 75%
