Overview Join BYU as a full-time, teaching-focused Mathematics faculty member in the CFS track to advance undergraduate education. You will teach 8-9 courses annually and contribute to department and university goals through service. The role emphasizes teaching excellence, classroom impact, and alignment with the university mission, including a teaching portfolio and mission-aligned scholarship. Relocation to Utah is expected for the duration of employment, with a start date in Fall 2027.
Responsibilities- teach undergraduate mathematics courses (8-9 per academic year)
- engage in service within the department and to the university, college, and department missions
- contribute to mission-aligned activities and goals
- prepare and maintain a teaching portfolio (teaching statement, records, student ratings)
- provide letters of recommendation as part of the application process (address teaching and service)
- participate in university-wide and department initiatives
Key requirements- PhD in mathematics or a related field, completed by start date
