Overview

In this role you drive pursuit success by coordinating and producing probes, proposals, and marketing collateral. You will guide go/no-go decisions, develop win strategies, and coach interview skills to secure work. As lead regional marketer for select markets, you translate practice expertise and market trends into compelling content and strategies. You'll shape brand messaging, support key initiatives, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, winning proposals. This position combines strategic marketing, storytelling, and rigorous project management to advance SmithGroup's design leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and produce statements of qualifications, proposals, presentations, and marketing collateral
  • Lead go/no-go decision processes and win strategy development for pursuits
  • Coach interviews and guide pursuit strategy to increase win probability
  • Develop and maintain sector boilerplates for proposals
  • Support major strategic pursuits with proposal sections ownership or leadership
  • Serve as the lead regional marketer for specific markets
  • Translate market trends and practice expertise into actionable content and win strategies
  • Lead brand messaging and market-level content development in collaboration with Marketing Strategist
  • Support capture planning and research
  • Update firmwide databases and mentor junior staff
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or related field; or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7 years of work experience in the A/E/C industry
  • CPSM certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and InDesign
  • Knowledge of Deltek Vision and OpenAsset preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing fundamentals and A/E/C industry terminology
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts and storytelling in written and graphic form
  • Ability to mentor junior marketing staff
