Overview In this role you drive technical leadership to optimize a major manufacturing asset, ensuring product quality and process efficiency. You'll build data collection, auditing and preventive maintenance to quickly identify deviations and implement fixes. You apply lean, Six Sigma and problem solving methods to improve safety, efficiency and cost of quality. You work with cross functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable processes and capital projects. This is a hands on role with a strong impact on production performance and safety culture.

Responsibilities- Identify improvement opportunities through continuous analysis and implement corrective actions
- Develop standard control processes and SOPs for multiple product types
- Define process set points and create management tools (e.g., setup sheets, SOPs)
- Support safety performance and promote JM safety culture
- Troubleshoot with Operations and Maintenance to resolve issues
- Utilize blueprints and engineering drawings to design and optimize systems
- Evaluate latest technologies for current and future processes
- Collaborate with internal/external resources and share learnings
- Monitor product quality, investigate quality problems, and manage SPC and DOE
- Provide training materials and assist policy/checklist execution
- Assist Production and Maintenance with consultations and coaching
- Support environmental policy implementation and cross functional process improvements
- Lead process redesign initiatives during rebuilds or major investments
- Oversee multiple projects and capital investments; provide on site startup support
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to address urgent manufacturing challenges
- May back up Production Superintendent/Plant Engineer
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related science with 3+ years in industrial continuous process manufacturing
- 2 years troubleshooting manufacturing processes
- Proven track record of process improvements
- Strong problem solving with complex data analysis
- Project management and multi tasking ability
- DOE experience for process improvement
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication
- Ability to work independently and in teams; set and communicate expectations
- Collaboration and stakeholder management across levels
- Decision making ability; results oriented
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Strong leadership and analytical skills
- Experience interfacing with diverse stakeholders
- Supervisory/leadership experience on projects; travel may be required
