Overview

In this Client Manager role, you drive new business in the power sector by building strategic markets and client relationships. You'll partner with operations, marketing, and sales leadership to execute a targeted growth plan that increases revenue and profits. You will shape market approaches, support proposals and contract negotiations, and help refine marketing campaigns for new offerings. This position offers impact across cross-functional teams in a fast-evolving energy landscape.

Responsibilities
  • Identify target markets and pursue strategic clients in collaboration with leadership
  • Build and maintain peer relationships with customers and prospects
  • Support sales by providing client relationship support and assisting with sales calls
  • Develop and execute lead generation initiatives
  • Collaborate to identify opportunities and implement growth strategies
  • Oversee contract negotiation processes with operations and legal
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis
  • Support and manage the proposal process through submission
  • Monitor market and environment to identify new segments
  • Assist in developing and evaluating marketing campaigns for new products/services
  • Develop evaluation processes to gather client feedback
Key requirements
  • Strong background in business development, sales or marketing within power/energy industry
  • Deep understanding of electrical power systems and related equipment
  • Experience leveraging EPC, ESCOs, Utility Companies, Developers, Engineering Firms, End-Users, and Equipment Manufacturers
  • Ability to translate customer needs into account plans and strategies
  • Leadership, entrepreneurial mindset, and sense of urgency
  • Time management and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Effective communication across teams; strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to conduct competitive and market analysis to identify opportunities
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships
