Overview In this role you will lead Foley's market-facing communications to strengthen brand, elevate visibility, and advance client development and talent recruitment. You will shape the firm's narrative for clients, prospects, referral sources, lawyers, and recruiting audiences, and manage integrated external and internal go-to-market programs. You will oversee PR, content strategy, thought leadership, and cross-functional partnerships to drive revenue growth and talent positioning. Responsibilities- Develop and execute integrated external and go-to-market communications strategies aligned with client development, sector, practice, talent acquisition, and market growth priorities
- Direct and manage agency and external supplier work, including priorities, briefs, cross-geography coordination, and budget oversight
- Shape Foley's market-facing narrative to clearly communicate differentiators, culture, and client value
- Oversee PR, awards processes, social media, content strategy, and market commentary to advance priorities and visibility
- Collaborate with Business Development, Client Development, sector and practice leaders, attorneys, Talent, and Recruiting to create plans for revenue growth, engagement, and recruiting campaigns
- Develop internal sales-enablement content and market updates to help lawyers and teams activate go-to-market strategy
- Lead thought leadership, editorial planning, and content development tied to industries, client needs, and brand storytelling
- Elevate high-impact stories and proof points through proactive PR, profile-raising, and content opportunities
- Produce messaging, talking points, media materials, bylined articles, alerts, client content, social content, and internal updates across channels
- Partner with digital, creative, social, events, rankings, marketing tech, Talent, and Recruiting to deliver integrated campaigns
- Coordinate with Leadership Communications to calendar and distribute internal sales-enablement updates
- Monitor market trends, competition, client priorities, and media conversations to identify opportunities
- Measure ROI and impact of marketing communications using qualitative and quantitative data
- Establish standards and governance for external and internal communications to ensure alignment with priorities
- Stay abreast of marketing communications developments to introduce new ideas
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree required; law firm experience preferred
- Minimum of 15 years in strategic marketing communications and brand management with integrated plans across content, PR, digital, social, SEO, and internal comms
- Impeccable written and verbal communication skills with ability to tailor messaging for diverse stakeholders
