Overview

In this role, you will lead the hardware design of high-performance electronic systems, guiding architecture and subsystem definitions from concept to production. You collaborate with architecture teams to shape requirements and drive manufacturability, testability, and reliability. You'll mentor engineers, present technical work, and influence product directions through deep hardware expertise. Responsibilities
  • Lead system-level hardware design, architecture, and requirements for new products
  • Collaborate with architecture teams to define hardware subsystem specs
  • Drive design for manufacturability, testability, and reliability
  • Evaluate emerging technologies to guide product direction
  • Mentor engineers and review work for quality and efficiency
  • Deliver schedules and documentation, coordinate testing
  • Interface with suppliers and manufacturing partners for validation
  • Author CPLD designs in Verilog HDL when needed
  • Support sustaining engineering and manufacturing training for new designs
  • Participate in design reviews and process improvements
Key requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical hardware design for high-speed digital, analog, and mixed-signal systems
  • Proficiency with schematic capture and design tools (Cadence, Altium, Mentor Graphics)
  • Strong understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, and thermal considerations
  • Verilog HDL programming for CPLD design
  • Advanced troubleshooting at board and system levels
  • Experience with Intel x86 motherboard design
  • High-speed interfaces (DDR4/5, PCIe g5, Ethernet 100G/400G/800G)
  • Design for CPUs VR power supply and system-level integration
  • Familiarity with industry standards and compliance; excellent cross-functional collaboration skills
